This quick and easy taco salad will provide a fiesta for your diners any night of the week!


  • 1 Pounds Double Red Selection® Beef Strips
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 packet taco seasoning; add water according to package directions.
  • 2 cups romaine lettuce; cleaned and chopped
  • 1 beefsteak tomato; chopped
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 green onion; chopped
  • 1 fresh jalapeño pepper; sliced
  • 1 fresh lime; quartered
  • ¼ cup multicolored tortilla strips
  • fresh cilantro for garnish


  1. In a large Dutch oven or casserole dish, add olive oil and beef strips, sear meat on all sides until browned, and add taco seasoning mixture; simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
  2. Place Romaine lettuce in a serving bowl and top with beef strips, grated cheddar cheese, onions, tomatoes, sour cream fresh jalapenos, tortilla strips, a sprig of cilantro and lime wedge.
  3. Serve with dressing of choice, salsa, and warmed tortilla chips.
